About the Artist

An artist, art educator, and museum professional, I am currently the Associate Director of Education at The Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, New York, where I have had the pleasure of working in the Education Department since 2004.  I also create select exhibition-related student activity guides for select exhibitions at the Godwin-Ternbach Museum, Queens College, CUNY.  In 2011, I began Cork Creations by Kristina and now sell my recycled cork artwork at craft and gift fairs across Long Island, New York throughout the season.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in art history and studio art (with a concentration in drawing) from Binghamton University, State University of New York, in 2004 and a Masters of Science in Education in Art Education from Queens College, City University of New York in 2008 and hold an New York State Initial Certification in Art Education, K-12.

Over the years, my personal artwork and teaching styles have evolved greatly and continue to do so with every new and exciting challenge that life brings!

Undergraduate Thesis

I wrote this untraditional thesis in the form of a website in 2004.  It was published in Tout-Fait, The Marcel Duchamp Online Studies Journal, Vol I, 2005.
