Six Degrees of a Separation
May - June 2007
I co-curated this Permanent Collection exhibition at The Heckscher Museum of Art in the spring of 2007. Named after the interconnectivity concept of "six degrees of separation," the exhibition removed artworks from their usual contexts, placing them in unexpected groupings that challenged traditional exhibition themes. Viewers were encouraged to see art in new ways, discovering the many similarities that span all art forms, styles, media, and eras. The slideshow below features installation photographs of the exhibition.
